Queue a task

Queueing creates a new work run for a task and asks a local coding-agent listener to start it. You need access to the project and at least one available coding agent.

1. Open a Backlog task and select Queue. You can also queue from task-list actions.
2. Choose an available coding agent and complete any selector choices shown in the dialog.
3. If the task has incomplete direct dependencies, acknowledge the warning only when it is appropriate to continue.
4. Confirm Queue task. The task moves to Queued and shows who queued it.

The coding agent is selected for this work run. Follow-up and fresh work each ask you to choose an agent again; they do not silently reuse the prior choice.

A local listener for the project polls for the work you queued. Queueing sends the work to the listener associated with the person who queued it, even when a different project member is assigned to the task. If no listener is running, the task remains Queued until that listener starts. Use the listener status in the application for the recovery command.

When local command approval is required, the task shows Awaiting local approval while the listener waits for its operator. Deferring approval leaves the task queued. After approval, the listener starts the coding agent, the task becomes Agent working, and the task displays elapsed work time.

The listener starts the agent locally; its terminal owns the agent's output. When the agent submits its result, the task moves automatically to Reviewing. Open Review completed work then.
