Fix task and review workflows

Use this page when a task, its current work run, or a review action is unavailable.

Confirm that you selected the intended organization and project, then return to the task list and use its filters and search. If another person gave you a task number, task numbers are project-scoped, so it is meaningful only in that project.

The expected result is the task detail in a project you can access. If it remains unavailable, do not infer whether a task exists in another project or try to bypass access controls; ask the task owner to confirm the project and your membership.

Read the task's current state and any visible prerequisite. Resolve direct blockers and select an available coding agent before queueing again. Keep the local listener running for the selected project and respond to any local approval prompt.

If alterac.ai reports that the organization license expired, ask platform support to restore it before retrying. Expiration blocks project reads and changes, queueing, listener polling, and work-run start. It does not remove memberships or project state.

The expected result is a queued task that starts a new work run, or a visible explanation of the remaining prerequisite. Do not repeatedly queue an unchanged failed action; correct the stated cause first.

Open the Agent-working task details and find Recover agent work beneath the task header. Choose Start fresh to queue clean work without continuation guidance, or choose Requeue and continue to save a required continuation comment for the replacement. When an incomplete run exists, Start fresh removes it while Requeue and continue retains it as excluded history. When the task was moved directly to Agent working and has no run, both actions still queue a replacement; only Requeue and continue adds guidance. Both actions ask you to select the coding agent and remain available whether or not a listener or work-run record is active.

The expected result is one replacement in Queued. Output submitted later by the replaced run is rejected. If the original process may still be running on another machine or terminal, stop it there separately; alterac.ai replaces the work-run record but does not control that process.

Open the current task detail and review the current work run rather than relying on an earlier terminal message. A work run is one exact execution, identified by a work-run ID. If a newer run replaced the old one, use the new run's context. If completion was rejected, check the current task state and the displayed cause before taking the action it allows. A rejected completion leaves the prior state and review output unchanged.

The expected result is that review actions apply to the current run and task state. Do not reuse an old work-run ID to complete new work.

A worker already in Agent working when the license expires can still retrieve that exact run and submit its summary and hand-off, moving it to Reviewing. Other task and review actions wait for reactivation.

Review controls depend on the task's current state and your access. Refresh the task detail, select the current work run, and read its summary, hand-off, and review comments. If the task is not ready for review or the action remains unavailable, wait for the state to change or ask someone with the appropriate project access to take the action.

The expected result is an action that matches the visible state, such as requesting follow-up work or marking reviewed work done. A follow-up uses the recorded review context; it is not a way to edit a completed execution in place.
